The A671 CC65 welded pipe specification covers electric fusion welded steel pipe with added filler metal, made from pressure vessel quality plate, for high pressure service at atmospheric and lower temperatures. The A671 CC65 grade pipes are of killed, plain carbon with fine grain structure.
The A671 CC65 electric welded pipe uses the skin effect and proximity effect of high frequency current, so that the current concentrated on the edge of the pipe blank heats the joint surface to the welding temperature, and then is extruded and rolled into a welded pipe.
